Uniform Shop Manager (Convenor) – applications close Friday 28 February 2020
The Gap State High School is situated in the leafy Brisbane suburb of The Gap. This year 2020, the school has an enrolment of 1700 students with vision for 2000 students in 2022.
The Uniform Shop is a business unit of the P&C Association of The Gap State High School, and we are seeking an experienced Retail Manager. This crucial position provides excellent customer service to ensure happy customers, and yet maintaining the professional business presence.
The casual position is up to 20 hours per week – the shop will be open every school weekday from 7am to 10am. Your skills in managing the day to day operations of the shop will include inventory management, managing your volunteers, liaising with school staff, working alongside the P&C Executive, and liaising with suppliers. Your previous buyer experience is essential together with your skills for electronic POS will ensure this business unit will increase sales in the uniform shop. Your demonstrated skills in time management will assist in fulfilling the online orders ready for student/parent collection or ready for the delivery pickup.
The needs of the school community require the Uniform Shop to be open 2 weeks prior to the start of the school year to ensure students are clothed according to the Uniform Policy. You will become familiar with the Uniform Policy to ensure parents and students are aware of the School’s requirements. You will need to hold or be able to obtain a current relevant BlueCard for this position which is located within the School environment.
Your Retail Manager expertise you bring to this position will ensure The Gap State High School Uniform Shop customers leave with a positive retail experience.
